Direct
The Direct Course Premise:
We have previously run successful single day courses on: isolation, posterior composites and anterior composites.
Single day courses work well but we wanted to try something a little different with this course….
We wanted to run the days together because it will allow us the time to take our delegates on a more in depth discourse on the key topics in this exacting area of dentistry:
How do we best prepare the hard and soft tissues to allow us to produce long lasting adhesive restorations?
How can we use current matrixing techniques to produce properly contoured restorations with proximal forms that will facilitate maintenance?
How can we finish our restorations so they recreate nature and are comfortable, functional and long lasting for our patients?
Practical Exercises Covered
Winged quadrant isolation
Class 1 molar composite
Claustrophobic class 2 composite
Parachute wingless clamp isolation
Claustrophobic class 2 composite next to dam clamp
Cavity preparation on caries simulated tooth
Classic wingless isolation, floss ties and the use of accessory clamps
Premolar class 2
Back to back class 2 cavities
Wide box cavities (missing buccal or lingual wall)
Last tooth in the arch isolation techniques
Saddle matrix/ Toffelmire for last tooth in the arch
Matrix in matrix technique
Split dam techniques
Partial papillectomy
2 stage matrixing for deep margins using DME/ more curved bands
Class 2 cavity with concave margin
Anterior sextant isolation
Composite veneer including polishing protocol
Class 4 layered composite
This 3 day course is suitable for all Dentists and Dental Therapists and completion is associated with 21 hours Verifiable CPD.
Each day of the course will be supported by 3 experienced speakers and will incorporate innovative scenario based hands-on practicals to consolidate learning.
Group sizes are limited and we have built in time to experiment with the plethora of Incidental Ltd products but we will also have a wide range of brands available to test.
This is the course we have always wanted to run after over a decade in postgraduate education!
